Greetings and Welcome!
Steele Inspirations is the namesake of artist, Dan Peck. Originally from a technical background of application and web development, in his free time he frequently found himself enjoying experiments with varied art mediums, both traditional and digital.
His physically-based art involved drawing, painting, wood-carving, wood-burning, leather-crafting, and even a small venture into constructing chainmaille.
His digital art combined his technical side with the creative side. In the 90’s he found great fascination in exploring the capabilities of the up and coming Photoshop and Lightwave tools.
Dan is constantly honing his skills within 2D and 3D domains. His primary tools of choice are currently Photoshop, Blender, and ZBrushCore.
When it comes to content and style, Steele Inspirations takes its own inspiration from well-known masters, such as:
- Bob Ross and Thomas Kinkade for their nature paintings
- Star Wars creative teams for their Science-Fiction environments, vehicles, and characters
- Medieval and Fantasy works such as Weta and Tolkiens’ Lord of the Rings creations, and more classically, the Dungeons & Dragons teams with Parkinson, Caldwell, Elmore and crew
If you enjoy any of these, we think you will find something of value, here, too!
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look around!
